There are things that you, men, think unnecessary for those are nothing but simple things. But, do you know that things that seem like nothing to you are actually big deals for your pregnant wife?
• Enough attention
You might think of her being childish for asking too much attention for you. But hey, she is pregnant. Her hormones are not stable so her mood is somehow affected by that. Understand this situation before you make judgments. Try to give her enough attention, more than she asks, if possible.
• Be there for her
Accompany her to the monthly visit. She will feel stronger to have you there with her. You can also ask directly to the ob/gyn about both your wife and baby’s condition.
• Give her comfort
It is important for any pregnant women to feel comfortable with their life and surro
unding. If you smoke, for your wife and baby’s health, stop it or at least don’t do it when you are with her. Try to be more patient for she needs to be stress-free.
• Understand her changes
During her pregnancy, your wife experiences lots of changes. And some of those changes cause her lack of confident. That is why you need to be a very understanding husband. Compliment her. Yet, don’t overdo it. She won’t trust you if you do.
• Get Ready for the delivery
Accompany your wife to the prenatal classes. That way you can also learn how the delivery process will be. You can also find out what you should and shouldn’t do while accompanying your wife during the process, how to support her.
See how important those are for your wife and for you and of course for the future baby.
Yet, don’t push yourself. There is no such perfect father. Just try to do your best.
