Is all your income riding on one customer or one job? If yes, you need to consider multiple streams of income.
With all the down sizing over the past several years, many people have found themselves in just this position. You work hard and after many years you find yourself at the top of your field.

With all the down sizing over the past several years, many people have found themselves in just this position. You work hard and after many years you find yourself at the top of your field.
Then one day, out of the blue, you are "down sized", "cut loose", "let go". Call it what you like but you find yourself with out a job, without income. I know, it happened to me. First you panic, then you get really mad and finally you settle down and realize you better do something and fast.
For many, this has been a very real life experience that we wish never happened. Most people find it difficult at best, to find a job that will replace the income they had and changing careers is frightening.
So what do you do? You may find another job that you feel is suitable but in time it is not always what you think it was going to be. What about starting your own company or service? That is the next logical and in most cases, the better choice.
When I was let go, after twenty-three years in the industry, I was banking on one very large customer for over 90% of my income. Never again will I have all my eggs in one basket.
Today I have a new career with another company, as well as owning my own business. When I started Nix Cleanig Service it was the best thing I could have done. Now my eggs are in a couple of different baskets and I'm working on another basket. Now I have multiple streams of income and will always be looking for others as well. I suggest you evaluate your situation and don't get caught with all your eggs in the same basket.
To your success. Ocha Nix -- Owner Nix Cleaning Service www.cleaning-profits.com
