I dont think we aknowledge issues in our countrys as much as we should, which inspired me to write about it.

what's happend to life in Canada?

My name is Tami and I am 19 years old.. I am not a Christian and I do not have any special beliefs. All I know is that we are put on this earth for a reason, I think we all have a purpose, i think we all can make this world a better place. I have watched the news almost everyday of my life since the age of 13. For some reason when I was younger I was intrigued by the stories of someone getting murdered or a break and enter.

I never liked the stories about are politics or what?s happening in other countries around the world but when I was younger there never was anything really bad that would happen in Canada. So I would watch the American news, and their news was horrible there was always something terrible going on in the United States, to me it was entertainment but it also was a blessing to know that Canada is a wonderful safe place were everyone is welcome and tragedies were minimal.

Now I sit on my couch get comfortable and turn it to the local news every night at 11 O clock, news hour final.  I am a very sensitive person, and I don't know if people react the same as I do, but now when I watch the news I see horrible things, things that I never saw 6 years ago. Just the other night I was watching the news, and I heard a story about a old def couple getting into a cab and a thug jumped them and beat them up.

This story brought tears to my eyes and I could not believe that there are people out there like this. People who get kicks beating up are senior citizens. I now don't wish to see those things on the news I do not want there to be tragedies in our country I want us to be proud of who we are,  not have homes of irresponsible kids, who take there anger out on people who are waiting for cabs, or taking walks through the park.

The world can?t be perfect but we can make it better. When I was younger I was intrigued by the top stories on the news, people getting hurt or houses being broken into, but when it didn't happen I turned to the American news. I now see, we are curious to things that we don't have and are intrigued by tragedies that happen across the world, until it happens to us. I do not know what it is that makes these people commit such hateful crimes and I don't know how someone could do something so horrible without thinking twice about it.

Let us raise our children better, let us show them the proper way of living, show them what is right and wrong before they turn into the people we have on the streets. One person can make a difference, but everyone can make this world a better place.
